About Me

I am a UK-based consciousness researcher and therapist, located in the South West of England. I was born in Reading, Berkshire, and my journey into consciousness exploration began at the age of 16, when I experienced my first conscious out-of-body experience. It was prompted by a spontaneous desire to meditate and an intuitive sense to begin deep breathing. The result was a profoundly moving and emotional experience that opened the door to a series of psychic and unusual events.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, my father was also meditating and practicing energy exercises. A few years later, in late 2004, our family relocated to the Somerset countryside to build Parsonage Side Retreat (PSR) in Bridgwater—an idea inspired by my father’s two visits to The Monroe Institute (TMI) in Virginia, USA. His vision was to create a local centre in the UK that offered similar opportunities for consciousness exploration and personal transformation, accessible to people across Europe.

The Monroe Institute and the Birth of Hemi-Sync

The Monroe Institute (TMI) was founded by Robert Monroe, a pioneer in consciousness exploration and the first to popularise the term "Out-of-Body Experiences" (OOBEs). Monroe’s interest in altered states began after he started having spontaneous OOBEs, which he believed were linked to his years of working as a radio presenter. Regularly listening to live broadcasts through stereo headphones, he would "tune out" background noise and balance the audio channels—an experience he felt contributed to the entrainment of the brain's left and right hemispheres.

This insight led Monroe to develop and later patent a groundbreaking technology known as Hemispheric Synchronisation (Hemi-Sync). Through extensive research and over 25,000 case studies, he helped lay the foundation for what we now recognise as binaural beats. Hemi-Sync is a form of brainwave entrainment delivered through sound and music, designed to guide listeners into deep meditative and altered states of consciousness. Monroe developed this technology in collaboration with physicist Tom Campbell and electrical engineer Dennis Mennerich.

In July 2003—eight years after Monroe’s passing—my father visited The Monroe Institute in Virginia. Deeply inspired by the experience, he felt a strong calling to create a similar centre in the UK. This vision quickly took shape, especially after my father had an out-of-body experience in which he vividly saw the completed retreat. Remarkably, he later had to correct the architects' plans to match what he had already seen in that altered state—details which later proved to be accurate. This experience was one of many that contributed to the founding of Parsonage Side Retreat in Somerset.

A Journey Begins

When we moved from a busy city to the quiet countryside in October 2004, everything changed very quickly. At the time, I had just formed strong friendships and was not prepared for a more isolated, hermit-like lifestyle in what felt like the middle of nowhere. The transition was a shock—but also the beginning of a profound journey.

After relocating to Parsonage Side, the vision of building a retreat centre began to unfold. Securing planning permission took over a year, but my father, deeply inspired by his experiences, was fully committed to bringing this place into being. He envisioned a space that would offer transformative experiences—a place created from the heart, for the heart.

As the physical foundations of the retreat were laid, so too were the foundations of my personal and spiritual growth. I was only 18 years old, still discovering who I was, and learning to navigate both the physical and non-physical dimensions of life—always with a desire to bridge experience with evidence and science.

During this formative time, I trained in spiritual healing under the guidance of the late Bill Harrison, a gifted healer and medium who profoundly impacted the lives of thousands. His teachings and presence left a lasting impression on my path.

I also began travelling to spiritual festivals and fayres across the country, offering healing and readings, and sharing messages through platform mediumship alongside two experienced mediums. These early years were filled with powerful psychic experiences, deep learning, and a growing connection to the spiritual world.

The many workshops and retreats I attended helped open me up to the deeper truths of our existence—and gave me a strong foundation for the work I now do in helping others explore consciousness, healing, and spiritual transformation.

My Path as a Healer

As a healer, I’ve been privileged to witness and experience many profound moments—both with people and animals. Even in my early teens, animals seemed drawn to me. I remember one particular day when ten cats gathered around me. At the time, I didn’t understand why, but looking back, I now recognise that these animals were responding to something within me—perhaps seeking comfort or healing.

Over the ten years of building and developing Parsonage Side Retreat, I’ve explored, studied, and researched a wide range of holistic therapies, consciousness practices, and retreat methodologies. I’ve been fortunate to learn from many gifted teachers—some of whom have since passed into the spirit world. I hold deep gratitude for their wisdom and the roles they played in shaping my journey.

My studies and personal exploration have spanned many fields, including:

  • Raw food, veganism, and superfoods

  • Cleansing, fasting, and breatharianism

  • Out-of-body experiences, lucid dreaming, and astral projection

  • Brainwave entrainment and Hemi-Sync

  • Sports therapy massage, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy

  • Parapsychology, biopsychology, and anatomy & physiology

  • Paranormal investigation and spirit activity

  • Mediumship, trance, and physical mediumship

  • Sound healing, hands-on healing, and Reiki

  • Support for autism, Asperger’s, and learning differences

  • Eco-building, architecture, and free energy concepts

  • Permaculture and organic growing

  • Water purification and filtration

  • Past life regression and altered states of consciousness

  • Meditation and yoga

  • Spiritualism, ghosts, and unexplained phenomena

  • Retreat and workshop facilitation

  • Photography, video editing, public speaking, and sound recording

This wide-reaching education has allowed me to weave together science, spirituality, and lived experience into a holistic approach to healing and personal transformation. My path continues to evolve, and I remain devoted to supporting others on their own journeys of awakening and inner discovery.

The list is endless, it has all been an exciting growing on going experience of knowledge about life, spirit and consciousness, the mind and the body. Not just for me, but also my family too who live here at PSR.

Exploring Consciousness Through Light and Sound Technology

From around the age of 10, I was introduced to mind-expanding technologies by my father. This early exposure included a range of mind machines such as the Audiostrobe, Mindplace Kasina, Audio Visual Synthesizer, Mindplace Procyon, and the Laxman Neurotronics Light & Sound Device. As I continued to explore, I worked with more advanced tools including the Ajna Light, Lucia No.3, PandoraStar, and now the cutting-edge roXiva RX1.

Alongside these, I’ve explored the effects of other consciousness-enhancing devices such as Dr. Michael Persinger’s God Helmet, Hemi-Sync, and BrainSync. These technologies opened powerful doorways into altered states, deep meditation, and expanded awareness.

I’ve also been deeply inspired by the work of renowned sound healers like Jonathan Goldman and Tom Kenyon, whose approaches to frequency and resonance have profoundly influenced my understanding of vibrational healing and the subtle mechanisms of the mind.

Over the years, I’ve had countless experiences using these tools—for meditation, for consciousness exploration, and for promoting overall well-being. What excites me most about this field is how science and spirituality meet so seamlessly. The science of brainwaves, light, sound, and frequency continues to evolve, and while we can measure much of it, the real insight often comes through the experiences themselves.

You only have to witness the transformations people undergo to begin to understand the true potential of these technologies.

The Birth of Parsonage Side Retreat

Building Parsonage Side Retreat (PSR) was a true labour of love—an eight-year journey filled with determination, challenges, and growth. As a family, we poured our hearts into its creation. It was not an easy time—there was plenty of blood, sweat, and tears—but it was also deeply rewarding to see our vision slowly take shape.

Once the retreat was complete, I hosted four open weekends to welcome the community and create a space where people could come together, share their passions, and connect freely. These weekends were offered without charge, as a way to introduce our work, open our doors, and offer a platform for others to showcase what they love.

It was during one of these open weekends, in 2010, that I was first introduced to gong sound healing by the gifted Tim Wheater. Tim generously offered his music and healing as both a closing ceremony and a mini-concert for our first and second events. I remember being deeply moved by the beauty and power of the sound—it was a transformative experience. At the time, I never imagined I would one day own and use gongs myself.

Thank you, Tim, for being a catalyst—for opening my ears and heart to the power of sound, and for showing me what is truly possible.

A Journey of Growth and Self-Discovery

As a child, I faced learning difficulties and struggled to concentrate on certain subjects. It wasn’t until my teenage years—when I discovered martial arts, parapsychology, and meditation—that I noticed a profound shift in my energy, consciousness, and brainwaves. This transformation helped me break free from a feeling of being trapped inside a shell I didn’t know how to escape.

Through these practices, my mind-body connection deepened, and I began to understand more about life and myself. I truly became a different person. Shortly thereafter, in 2005, my family and I moved to Somerset to begin building Parsonage Side Retreat (PSR)—a place that has since shaped much of my journey.

Over the past 17 years here, I have learned extensively about life, others, and myself. Today, I dedicate myself to providing welcoming accommodation and meaningful events that encourage personal growth. Along my path, I have studied mediumship, practiced platform mediumship, and delivered messages for others—but I’ve come to understand that the greatest insights are the ones we discover within ourselves.

My journey of self-discovery has been diverse, but a few truths stand out clearly: we cannot heal others—each person must heal themselves. And fundamentally, life is about emotions. We all seek to feel good—happy, relaxed, inspired, successful, and authentic.

This understanding shapes everything I offer through my events and retreats. I guide participants to find their own answers, helping them connect with the universal energies that guide us all. Everyone is a medium in their own right; we are all connected, and we simply need to become aware of this profound truth.

Mentors, Travels, and Transformations

Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to learn from a handful of extraordinary teachers—mentors, close friends, and guides—who have supported me in the fields of mediumship, trance mediumship, meditation, astral projection, dreamwork, health, and consciousness. My journey has taken me across Europe and the South West of England, exploring spiritual churches and engaging deeply with the Spiritualists’ National Union (SNU).

I have travelled extensively alongside fellow mediums, assisting on retreats and workshops in Cornwall, London, Ireland, France, and Portugal. These experiences have taught me much about the unique energy of festivals and sacred spaces, and how to create the best environment for healing and spiritual growth.

Along the way, I have connected with many talented sound healers, forged lasting friendships, and participated in development circles focused on spirit work and the science of the mind—especially brainwave entrainment and related technologies.

Living as a spiritual hermit in the beautiful rolling hills of Somerset was a profound chapter in my consciousness journey. In 2014, life took a challenging yet transformative turn. Although the period was difficult, I am grateful for the growth it brought. This pivotal moment prompted a change of scenery, leading me to London for several years.

Living in London opened my eyes to the vast potential that exists beyond what I had known. It allowed me to connect with many inspiring people and fully embrace my dream and purpose: offering healing and guiding large groups of eager meditators and explorers into deeply moving, beautiful experiences of consciousness expansion—exploring the realms beyond body and mind.

Inspired by The Monroe Institute: Creating Transformative Retreats

Visiting The Monroe Institute (TMI) in America in 2013 was a pivotal moment for me. It deepened my understanding of why my father was so passionate about providing others with direct, hands-on experiences—helping them discover their own truths on their unique journeys.

During my time at TMI, I absorbed valuable knowledge that inspired me to create my own retreats upon returning home in 2014. I began producing original binaural beat tracks, crafting a unique space where people could embark on inward journeys. I named these gatherings the Timelessness Retreats—retreats designed without a fixed schedule, offering meditation, sound healing, immersion in the countryside, and the opportunity for participants to reconnect with their natural “default mode” of being.

After each retreat, I witnessed profound transformations: guests felt less stressed, more joyful, and renewed. Offering this gift became a source of deep fulfillment for me—being of service and witnessing people shine in their own light.

Inspired by other innovative practices, I began integrating light machines, stroboscopic devices capable of altering consciousness, gong sound healing, and the nutritional and energetic benefits of cacao, mugwort tea, and breathwork. I combined these elements into a holistic experience, initially launched here in the South West of the UK, partnering with a close friend.

Later, I brought this experience to London under the name Meditation Parties, also known as Light Machine Gong Bath & Cacao Events. These gatherings became popular spaces for group connection—where like-minded people could meditate, share, and grow together.

Through this journey, I’ve witnessed incredible personal transformations and expanded my expertise in the powerful field of light entrainment.

During my time in London, I was part of PandoraStars-Spa known as PandoraSpa. I had been part of the company since the begginging of PandoraStars development and seen it grow and expand. With many years of already putting a handful of people under the light itself. My move to London and setting up PandoraSpa with the company had many great benefits for me to reach out and do what I love doing. I was grateful of putting under many thousands of people under the light and gongs, at events, festivals and seminars. So my experience with light machines and gongs had been a very busy 5 years.

Coming back Somerset in 2019, i felt guided to be here for a couple of years, athough i had no idea what, it felt right. I am glad I followed my intuition, not only for the pandemic of 2020 but because I wanted to offer more for what I do for retreat and events. So i found the opportunity to gain a bus/coach driving licence, I passed and now have this qualification to take people to our retreat centre, stopping at London, Swindon and Bristol. Although I havnt had the oppportunity to do so yet.
People are still free to drive to the retreat if they wish, but i find that being in more service for others, gives a more special nurturing expereince.

My Mission: Supporting Your Journey to Wellbeing

My goal is to offer individuals—like you—meaningful experiences through my events, retreats, and personal healing sessions. While these experiences may not resonate with everyone, those who attend often leave feeling transformed, renewed, and more balanced within themselves. This work is my passion. I am committed to continual learning, research, and bringing my very best to everyone who visits or works with me.

In addition to healing, I also collaborate in creative fields such as photography and video editing—always eager to expand my skills and explore new ways to support and connect.

Healing can support a wide range of challenges—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—or simply provide a peaceful way to relax and recharge from daily stresses. It helps your body’s natural ability to restore itself, re-centers your energy, and empowers you to regain control over your life.

I offer healing in various formats: in person, in groups, through sound, workshops, retreats, and one-to-one sessions. My path is one of ongoing growth, learning, and research, grounded in the belief that all phenomena can ultimately be understood.

“Scientists will never prove the existence of light until they become light themselves.”
